Video of the week #2: Yago Dora, Skinny Goat at Bells
Episode 15 of Yago Dora's Skinny Goat. The reigning world champ rolls into Bells for round one of the title defence.
Wednesday again. One clip, ten minutes (well, no in this case!), no fluff.
This week we’re handing it over to Yago Dora and his ongoing YouTube series, Skinny Goat. Episode 15 picks him up landing in Australia for the Rip Curl Pro at Bells Beach, the first proper test of his year as defending world champ.

The thing Skinny Goat does well is show you the bits the WSL broadcast skips. The Ford Ranger packed to the roof with board bags, played like a game of Tetris on the airport kerb. Cold mornings in Melbourne cafes hunting a half-decent flat white. Empty Victorian car parks where the wind chill drops the seven degrees on the thermometer down to feels-like three. And Yago’s edits always come with a cracking soundtrack, pulled straight from the punk and rock he grew up on, which carries the slower moments more than any voiceover could.
Yago is fresh off his 2025 world title in Fiji and the WSL Awards night sits in the middle of the episode like a different film. Tuxedo fittings with the Brazilian crew, trophy in hand, a quiet moment where he says, “Something I learned from last year is that I’m a lot stronger than even I thought I was.” That self-belief is the through line for the rest of the trip.
There’s also a peek at the gear side, top secret board shapes laid out on the lawn, his new signature FCS traction pads getting the first ride. If you’re into the nerdy half of surfing, that bit alone is worth the watch.
What you get is the texture of life on tour. Travel, waiting, mates, the hunt for waves, the cold. The aerial circus he’s known for is in there too, but it’s the stuff around it that makes the episode.
